NEURODIVERSITY-PASSIONS-COLLABORATIONS
ISABELLA MALMQVIST
BACKGROUND AND VISION
Isabella is a singer and Aspiring music producer who has many passions and she is constantly finding new areas of creativity she wants to learn more about. Music is her biggest passion since childhood and her influences come from a wide range of different artists and genres. She wants to focus on using her skills to make changes for Neurodivergent people who want to follow their passions. With a degree in music and sound design, training her singing voice with vocal coaches, analyzing voices and learning about different singing techniques from a young age, she's never stopped feeling the need to express herself through music and sing to process her emotions. Isabella released an EP in 2019 because she wanted to understand what the process looks like and to start training. It's hard making music but it's a lot of fun and she got to learn and evolve her skills in the different aspects of Music Production.
There are things she could talk about when it comes to having obstacles and doubting your abilities and she has realized that's not how you express yourself and feel free to be creative. You need to do what feels good and the most important thing is to have fun and to try new things because that's how you evolve. She's realized that when she goes with her intuition and don't think that much about the outcome and how her music will be perceived it sounds so much better. This is a platform for people who want to learn more about music and would be interested in participating in workshops and sessions.
If you want to understand her vision and why she thinks it's important for passionate and creative people to have a community where they can find support and also have the possibility of talking about Neurodiversity and share their own experiences when it comes to being Neurodivergent, you will be able to read her Diary Posts on this website where she goes more in depth with her ideas and what she's working on. There you can find more information about her projects and also personal experiences. You can write a comment if you want to share your own thoughts about the blog posts and have a conversation.
Isabella wants to build a safe and encouraging community not only for Neurodivergent people, it's for anyone who want to evolve and learn how to find tools to express themselves and to be creative. You'll be able to write and post in the members group as well. If you are interested in sessions that are about how to get better at expressing yourself through singing, writing lyrics and other aspects of making music this is the place you will find them! When she is ready to launch the sessions you will get more information and you can let her know if there are something you would want to learn more about.
Now she's working on creating resources about music and Neurodivergence because there are many benefits with using music as a tool to process and recover as a Neurodivergent person. Singing is a great way of processing emotions and regulating your nervous system and there are many different ways of making music, that's what makes it so much fun. There are many more aspects of music that makes it possible to recover and become more connected to your body. When you experiment and find new ways of making different sounds you get so many good feelings and it's giving you the inspiration to keep learning.
If you have a passion for music but don't need to talk about the benefits and why you can regulate your nervous system with the exercises and recover through expressing yourself, you will be able to participate without being active in the support group and you don't need to be a member. Don't hesitate to contact her if you have any questions or there is something you'd want her to implement in the community.
This is a new community and there will be sessions to book, resources to read, projects to be involved in, conversations, discussions, events and opportunities to find people you can be creative with and she feels excited to give people something valuable.
